Elections to the West Bengal Legislative Assembly are scheduled for April. Following this, Mamata Banerjee, the party’s leader and first lady, addressed a public meeting on behalf of the ruling Trinamool Congress party in Hooghly yesterday:
I will be the goalkeeper in the coming legislative elections. The BJP will not be able to score a single goal in this election. Modi is not going to rule Bengal. Thugs are not going to rule Bengal.
