105 male and female players from 31 countries recorded a remarkable presence in the West Asian Youth Championship, organized by the Emirates Tennis Federation, under the supervision of the International Federation, at the Fujairah Club stadiums, in which players from China, India, Italy, France and Russia qualified for the quarter-finals.
The tournament continues until the day after tomorrow, with the participation of the national team’s star, Marwan Nasser Youssef, in addition to a number of talented and distinguished players.
The tournament is held for the under-18 male and female categories, with the “G30” classification, and witnesses the participation of young players with international classifications, including the Macedonian Husenovic, the Frenchman Luka Nikolj, the Russian Skvortov, and the Serbian Boteg Matia.
In turn, the Secretary-General of the Tennis Federation, Nasser Al Marzouqi, congratulated the Fujairah Tennis Club on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of its founding, stressing that it is one of the sports bodies supporting the qualitative shift in UAE tennis, appreciating the club’s efforts in contributing to spreading the culture of practicing tennis locally and internationally.
