Competitions for the 15th edition of the Fujairah International Youth Championship, organized by the Football Federation, began yesterday with the participation of 108 male and female players representing 40 countries, including the promising national team stars Nasser and Abdul Rahman Adnan.
The current version of the tournament is distinguished by the fact that it is held with the “J100” classification after it was upgraded from the International Tennis Federation.
For his part, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Fujairah Tennis Club, Abdul Ghafour Bahrozyan, praised the Tennis Federation’s keenness to ensure that the tournament appeared in a distinctive organizational and artistic manner that coincides with the 20th anniversary of the club’s founding. He said in press statements that “upgrading the tournament reflects its international status.”
In turn, the Public Relations Coordinator of the Fujairah Tennis Club, Tariq Abdullah, stressed the provision of all necessary supplies to keep up with the tournament, with its new classification, the major international tournaments for the youth category, through an ideal environment that ensures parity for all players.
