The Saudi Space Authority revealed the date of the flight, which includes the two Saudi astronauts, Ali Al-Qarni and Rayana Barnawi, which confirmed that the Axiom Space company had set the launch date for the flight next May.
For his part, the astronaut Ali Al-Qarni said: The fact that we are the first Saudi astronauts to visit the International Space Station would not have been possible without the support of our wise leadership. Which will contribute to future explorations in various fields.
The Saudi Space Authority had revealed earlier that the two astronauts, Ali and Rayana, had completed a training program specialized in conducting scientific experiments during their trip to the International Space Station.
It is noteworthy that the scientific tasks of “Al-Qarni” and “Bernawi” are to conduct 11 pioneering scientific research experiments in microgravity, human research, cell sciences, and the work of artificial rain in microgravity, in addition to experiments for research and development.
