The drugs were discovered during Operation 66. Four Arab nationals were arrested in the incident. The drugs arrived in a refrigerated container from abroad. Between the boxes filled with lemons were plastic lemons of the same size, shape and color as the lemons. The inside of these was filled with drugs. “The Dubai Police will always be vigilant to prevent organized crime and will take all possible measures to prevent malicious substances, including drugs, from entering the community,” he said. Chief Lt. Gen. Abdullah Khalifa Al-Marri said.
Al-Marri praised the investigation team for nabbing the drug trafficking gang. Police received a tip-off that the drug was likely to be delivered in a frozen container carrying vegetables and fruits from an Arab country.
