A press release issued by the Football Association stated that “this season’s championship is exceptional in all aspects, especially after the Football Association launched the Sports Excellence Program to support the First Division League clubs financially, technically, administratively and logistically, as a financial amount was allocated to the program with a total value of 12.5 million dirhams, which will be distributed to the clubs annually starting from this season.”
According to the program, financial rewards will be distributed to all clubs participating in the competition in different proportions, each according to its position in the standings, from first place to last place. Support will also be provided to the national technical cadres working in the age groups sector of the first division clubs, according to the specified conditions, as well as medical support for the clubs.
The first day will witness three matches, the first of which will bring together Al Dhaid FC and Gulf United at 5:35 PM at Al Dhaid Stadium, the second match will see Majd FC meet Fleetwood United at Tahnoon Bin Mohammed Stadium in Al Qattara at 5:35 PM, and the third match will see Gulf FC and Al Dhafra at Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Stadium at 5:45 PM.
The first round matches will continue the evening after tomorrow with four matches, as Dibba will host Al Hamriyah at 17:35, and at the same time Hatta will meet Fujairah at their stadium, Masfout will meet Emirates at their stadium, while Al Arabi will host United at their stadium in Umm Al Quwain at 17:40.
The Football Association had completed all its preparations for the start of the new season for first division clubs, by holding a series of workshops and various courses that discussed all technical and organisational matters, with the aim of informing club representatives of the latest updates to the competition regulations, as well as the new laws of the game, in addition to media and marketing matters.
