Alappuzha: With the aim of mobilizing people against the ruling BJP at the centre, the India Unity Walk is being led by former Congress President Rahul Gandhi.
This journey started in Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu and is currently underway in Kerala. In this case, during the yatra held the day before yesterday, Rahul Gandhi met and talked to the fishermen there. He started walking yesterday morning in Punnabra, Alappuzha district and covered 16 km. Passed and completed in Kalavur. Then, in the evening, start the walk again and cover 9 km. Passed by and ended the journey at Maiithara area near Serdala.
In this case, Rahul started his 13th day of walking from Mayithara area of Alappuzha district yesterday. On the way, Rahul Gandhi planted a sapling in St. Michael’s College campus. The journey which started in the morning covered a distance of 14 kilometers and ended at Kuthiyadudu area.
In these 12 days alone, Rahul Gandhi has completed a journey of 225 kilometers. He was accompanied by senior Congress leader K. Muralitharan, Pawan Khera, V.D. Satheeshan and others went.
