Tirumala: For 6 consecutive months since last March, the income of the Eumumalayan temple bill has crossed Rs.100 crores. In the month of August alone, devotees have paid Rs. 140 crores and 70 lakhs as offerings in money.
About 22 lakh 80 thousand devotees have visited Swamy. The first phase of the ‘Nivasa Setu’ flyover under the ‘Smart City’ project in Tirupati, which is being built in association with the Tirupati Devasthanam, has been completed.
Andhra Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy inaugurated the flyover from Tirupati Bus Stand to Alibiri Road 3 months ago. A consultation was held yesterday regarding the rest of the work. Once the flyover works are completed, pilgrims coming from Chennai and Renikunda Airport can reach Alibiri quickly without getting stuck in Tirupati city traffic.
