140 players participate in the UAE Chess Championship

The UAE Individual Chess Championship for Open Categories kicks off today and will continue until July 10, at the Dubai Chess and Culture Club Hall, with the participation of 140 male and female players, representing nine clubs.

Dubai Chess and Culture Club leads the number of participants with 41 players in all categories, followed by Sharjah Cultural Chess Club with 28 players, then Abu Dhabi Chess and Mind Games Club with 16 players, Sharjah Girls Chess and Culture Club (15 players), Al Dhaid Club (13 players), Al Ain Chess and Mind Games Club with 11 players, then Fujairah (9 players), and Kalba (five players).
