He then contacted him and said that he is not the person you are looking for. After Venugopala Pillai moved away, the relatives stopped the search. Years passed. He started having physical problems. Finally last December, his sponsor contacted his cousin Vallejos. He was taken to the hospital from there. A surgery was performed here. After that, the plan was to take them home. But he only had an expired passport, iqama and visa. With this, the attempt to go home has ended.

The Community Welfare Counselor of the Indian Embassy intervened in Mr. Sajeevan’s matter and prepared the papers to send him home. All the preparations to start the treatment in the country have been completed. In the midst of it, the disease came again. Three surgeries were done later. About ten lakh Riyals were needed for treatment during these times. But despite doing all this, it was not possible to bring him to life. His death was confirmed by the hospital authorities around 1 am on Tuesday. Efforts are being made to bring the body home as soon as possible after completing the procedures.
