The title of the tournament that has been held since last Friday at Al-Nasr Club Hall, and extends until the fifth of next February.
Al-Jabri told «Emirates Today», that: «The organizing committee of the tournament supervises meeting the desire of the participating clubs and teams, providing the most suitable prices, and securing hotel reservations, before the participating delegations or their sponsoring companies bear the cost of accommodation, which exceeded the million dirhams barrier, especially The average hotel night price is estimated at 600 dirhams per room.
He added: “Since last December, the Organizing Committee has worked to communicate with hotels, especially those close to the tournament headquarters, which number five hotels, with which they finally reached the most appropriate and lowest prices, taking into account that hotel rooms were not limited to players only, but Administrators, coaches, and media representatives coming from outside the country.
He explained: «The (Dubai Basket) tournaments, since their inception in 1989, have been the focus of attention for major international teams and clubs, due to the presence and competition in this tournament, which has become today the most ancient and continuous in Asia, due to the strength of its matches and the timing of its establishment, which represents preparation stations for various benefits, whether the final stages of League tournaments or regional participations, as well as economic and tourism aspects that benefit the host cities.
Al-Jabri referred to economic aspects that are difficult to count as a result of hosting sporting events, including the (Dubai Basketball) tournaments. And test new experiences that they have not visited before, whether restaurants or tourist attractions of the emirate.
He concluded, “All committees work around the clock to secure the arrival of delegations from the airport to hotels, provide transportation, and allocate cars for the heads of delegations, in addition to nine buses for the nine competing teams.”
