New Delhi: 187 terrorists were killed in Jammu and Kashmir last year, the central government said in Parliament.
Union Home Minister Nithyananda Rai has given a written reply to a question raised by BJP MP Sushil Kumar Modi in the Rajya Sabha regarding the anti-terrorist operations carried out by the security forces in Jammu and Kashmir. In it, “Last year terrorists have carried out 125 attacks in Jammu and Kashmir. 117 encounters have been conducted by the security forces. 111 retaliatory attacks have been carried out in response to terrorist attacks. In 2022 alone, 187 terrorists were killed in Jammu and Kashmir.
Earlier in 2021, terrorists had carried out 129 attacks in Jammu and Kashmir. In response to this, security forces have launched 95 retaliatory attacks. Also, security forces have conducted 100 encounters. In 2021, 180 terrorists were killed in Jammu and Kashmir.
