New Delhi: A parade was held in Delhi on the 26th of last month ahead of the Republic Day celebrations. It featured a parade of security forces and decorated vehicles reflecting the culture of various states.
The first prize was awarded to the decorated vehicle of the Uttarakhand State Government. Wild animals and birds of Uttarakhand state were featured in this decorative vehicle. In the front of the decorative vehicle, the Carpathian deer, musk deer species, national bird peacock, coral bird etc. were present in the car. At the rear of the ornate chariot were the ancient temples of Jageshwar Dham, Almora district.
In the parade of security forces, the Indian Army’s Dingal, Punjab Army, Maratha Army, Dogra Army, Bihar Army and Gurkha Army took part in the parade. Among these, the jury selected the Punjab Brigade as the best team. Among the paramilitary forces, the Reserve Police Force won the first prize.
Among the decorated vehicles represented by central ministries and government departments, the decorated vehicle represented by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs won the special prize. A special prize was awarded to the decorative vehicle and ‘Vande Bharatham’ dance troupe, which participated on behalf of the Central Public Works Department.
