Delhi Police’s Special Cell has arrested two people who wrote Khalistani slogans on Delhi Metro stations from Kothaguru village in Bathinda. The accused have been identified as Preetpal and Rajwinder Singh, residents of Dod village in Faridkot. He wrote pro-Khalistan slogans at metro stations at the behest of Sikh For Justice Chief (SFJ) chief Gurpatwant Singh Pannu. For this he got about Rs 4 lakh.
The incident is said to have taken place between 8 and 11 pm on August 26. After this incident, terrorist Pannu took the responsibility by releasing the video. Pritpal Singh, who works in a local factory in Punjab, was in touch with Pannu for over a year through the social media app Signal.
According to the police, Pannu had promised the two $7,000 for the incident, but only paid $3,500. Apart from this, he had earlier also sent one lakh rupees to Preetpal, when someone in his house fell ill.
Slogans were written at 8 metro stations
Anti-India slogans were written on the walls of 8 metro stations in Delhi. It was also written that Punjab-Delhi is not a part of India. Khalistan supporters wrote these slogans at Shivaji Park, Madipur, Paschim Vihar, Udyog Nagar, Maharaja Surajmal Stadium, Government Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalaya Nangloi, Punjabi Bagh and Nangloi Metro Station.
