The team of Anti-Narcotics Cell of Panipat, Haryana has arrested 2 accused including a large quantity of prohibited injection. 1040 buprenorphine and 200 pheniramine melty banned injections were recovered from the possession of the accused.
The accused have been identified as Nitin Gupta, resident of New Guru Nanak Pura Kachha Camp and Shubham Joshi, resident of Bhatia Colony, Panipat. Both the accused were produced in the court on Sunday. From where accused Nitin Gupta was sent to judicial custody jail and accused Shubham Joshi has been taken on police remand for 1 day.

Preliminary interrogation of the accused Shubham revealed that he had procured a large number of banned injectable drugs from Shelampur in Delhi a few days back in order to earn money through a shortcut method. The remaining injections were hidden by the accused in the bushes on the Delhi Parallel Canal near Assandh Naka. The police team recovered banned injections of 1000 buprenorphine and 200 pheniramine melty drugs at the instance of the accused.

Anti-Narcotics Cell Incharge SI Sandeep told that his team was present under the old industrial area of Thana during patrolling. Meanwhile, the team got a secret information that a young man of suspicious type was selling banned injectable drugs near the liquor vend in Peepal Wali Mandi.
Considering the information as solid, the police team immediately raided the spot, then the accused youth started trying to run away after seeing the police vehicle coming. Acting promptly, the police team overpowered the accused youth within a few steps and interrogated him, when he revealed his identity as Nitin Gupta, a resident of New Guru Nanak Pura Kachha Camp, Panipat.
When the police team searched the accused in the presence of Duty Magistrate Naveen Kumar ATP as per rules, 40 intoxicant banned buprenorphine injections were recovered from the pocket of the pants he was wearing.
Accused’s JK Medical Store is in Peepal Wali Mandi
SI Sandeep told that after taking possession of the recovered injection in the police station and registering a case against the accused under the NDPS Act in Thana Purana Industrial, the accused admitted to having bought the said injection from Shubham Joshi resident of Bhatia Colony, Panipat.
Shubham has a medicine shop named JK Medical Store in Peepal Wali Mandi. The police team arrested the accused Shubham from Peepal Wali Mandi while raiding the spot of the accused Nitin.
