The rest are from Syria, Lebanon, India, Bangladesh and Pakistan. A total of 566 expatriates have been deported from Kuwait in connection with drug cases. They were arrested and deported from Kuwait for drug use and possession of small quantities of narcotics that are not in the criminal case category. The death penalty is the strongest punishment for drug trafficking in Kuwait.
