Today, 200 young men and women began their field volunteer work in the Grand Mosque, which included first aid and translation work for the medical team for the languages spoken and most used in Hajj.
The Director of the Supervisory Department of Health Volunteering at the General Directorate of Health Affairs in Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region, Mahasin Shuaib, told Al Arabiya.net that 200 male and female volunteers are working in the Holy Mosque around the clock, to provide first aid and health awareness, in addition to translation into the most common languages during the Hajj, to facilitate the process Understanding between the patient and the medical staff.
She pointed out that the volunteer program aims to create organized opportunities for health sector employees to volunteer and serve the community, provide better health care for the pilgrims in Makkah and Madinah, and contribute to supporting the workforce for health affairs in Makkah.
Mahasin added, “The procedure followed to deal with the cases that are handled is to measure blood pressure, provide first aid, dressing wounds, psychological support, awareness and health education, in integration with health services inside the campus, and cooperation to work to facilitate health support for pilgrims. “.
