Bengaluru: It was announced that if the Congress wins during the Karnataka Assembly elections, Rs 2,000 per month will be given to women heads of households under the Kruha Lakshmi scheme.
After the Congress won the election, a scheme to provide Rs 2,000 per month to the heads of families was launched on the 30th.
In this case, Congress MLC from Mysuru Dinesh Goligowda recently met Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Sivakumar and submitted a petition. In it, “The monthly assistance amount of Rs.2,000 given to the heads of the family should also be given to Goddess Chamundeeswari Amman. She is the head of all families in Karnataka. Therefore, he should also be included in the Gruha Lakshmi scheme,” he demanded.
Accepting this, DK Sivakumar directed Women and Child Welfare Minister Lakshmi Hembalkar, who is implementing the project, to provide funds to Chamundeswari Amman as well. Subsequently, the name of Chamundeeswari Amman has also been included in the Kruha Lakshmi scheme.
Congress MLC Dinesh Goligowda said, “I would like to express my gratitude to Deputy Chief Minister T.K.Sivakumar for accepting my request and agreeing to give women’s allowance to Chamundeswari Amman. The Department of Women and Child Welfare has informed that Rs.2,000 will be credited to the bank account of Chamundeshwari Amman temple administration every month.
