Today, Dubai is hosting the world finals of the Oceanman Championship, in cooperation with the Dubai Sports Council, and it will be held on Kite Beach, and will continue until tomorrow, with the participation of 2,200 male and female swimmers from 93 nationalities, men and women, led by three Olympic champions and more than 1,000 national champions from various countries of the world. 80% of them participate from outside the country and came specifically to Dubai to participate in the tournament. Today’s race is for the children’s category, 500 metres, the sprint is two kilometers, and the teams are 3.5 kilometres, while professional competitions will be held tomorrow for distances of five and 10 kilometres.
The details of the tournament were announced during the press conference held at the headquarters of the Dubai Sports Council, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Dubai Sports Council, Saeed Hareb, and the Assistant Secretary-General, Nasser Aman Al Rahma, during which the Director of the Community Sports Department at the Dubai Sports Council, Fawzia Faridoun, and the Chairman of the Event Organizing Committee spoke.
