A Master’s program in Energy Transition and Sustainability (ETS) will start in January 2024 and Bachelor’s courses from September 2024. Acting Executive Director of Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge Dr. Ahmed Sultan Al Shuaibi said.
The Energy Transition and Sustainability (ETS) postgraduate course has been specially designed for the Abu Dhabi campus to mold professionals and scholars for sustainable solutions in the energy industry, according to the Abu Dhabi Media Office. Those with science and engineering background can join the two-year program at the Abu Dhabi campus.
The IIT Delhi-Abu Dhabi center was decided to start on February 18, 2022, when the India-UAE trade agreement was signed. The agreement was signed when Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the UAE last June. The agreement was signed by the Union Ministry of Education and the Abu Dhabi Department of Education. A Local Currency Settlement (LCS) agreement allowing bilateral trade in rupees and dirhams was also signed around this time.
IIT Delhi is known as the leading technical education center in the world. The leading IITs in India are IIT Bombay, IIT Kharagpur and IIT Madras. There are 23 IITs in different parts of India. There are programs at undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG) and doctorate (PhD) levels. The UAE official news team that arrived at the G20 summit visited the IIT Delhi campus.
Admission to IITs is through the Advanced Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). Students who secure the highest rank in JEE Mains are eligible to appear in the JEE Advanced exam. Indian non-resident students usually visit India to write these exams. In future, IIT Delhi will provide all academic facilities at the Abu Dhabi off-campus. A team of IIT officials is staying in Abu Dhabi and supervising the activities.
