Mumbai Mumbai Crime Branch is investigating the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddiqui. Another arrest in this case was made on Sunday. So far, a total of 25 people have been arrested in this sensational incident. Today a person from Gujarat has been arrested from Akola, Maharashtra. An officer has given this information.
It is being told that the person who was arrested today from Balapur in Akola has been identified as Salmanbhai Iqbalbhai Vohra, a resident of Petlad in Anand district of Gujarat. Crime Branch officials, with the help of police, arrested the accused from about 565 kilometers away from Gujarat.
Regarding the arrest of Salmanbhai Iqbalbhai Vohra, officials said that it had opened a bank account in May this year and provided financial assistance to arrested accused Gurmail Singh, Rupesh Mohol and Harish Kumar’s brother Naresh Kumar Singh. Not only this, Vohra has also helped other people associated with crime in the past.
Please note that immediately after the murder of Baba Siddiqui, Dharamraj Kashyap of Uttar Pradesh and Gurmail Singh of Haryana were arrested from the spot itself. Recently, the police got another success in this case when the alleged main shooter Shivkumar Gautam was arrested from Bahraich. Police had said that Gautam was absconding since October 12 and was caught while trying to flee to Nepal.
