New Delhi: The Central Government has told the Delhi High Court that it is not allowed to give the second dose of Covaccine to those who have already taken the first dose of CoviShield.
Madhur Mittal, a cancer patient from Delhi, filed a petition in the Delhi High Court in 2021. In it, “I have administered the first dose of GoviShield Corona vaccine. This had various consequences. Therefore, it should be ordered that the 2nd dose of covaccin be allowed to be administered.”
During the hearing on this petition, the central government said in the affidavit filed on November 17, 2021, that it cannot allow two different corona vaccines to be exchanged.
In this case, this petition came up for hearing in the presence of Judge Pratibha M. Singh recently. Advocate Anurag Ahluwalia, appearing for the central government, said, “The 4th trial related to the transfer of corona vaccines has not yet been completed. Therefore, there is no permission to transfer vaccines till date,” he said.
