Three blasts took place at a convention center in Ernakulam, Kerala on Sunday. One woman died in the incident, while 20 people were reported injured. According to reports, people of the Jewish community were praying in the convention center located in Kalamassery around 9.30 am, when three consecutive explosions occurred within 5 minutes.
TA Sreekumar, local spokesman for the Jehovah’s Witnesses organization, said three blasts took place at the convention hall at 9:45 p.m. The explosions occurred within seconds of the prayer ending. The first explosion occurred in the middle of the hall. A few seconds later, two more explosions occurred on either side of the hall. Where the explosion took place in Ernakulam. A good number of Jewish community people live around it.

Two days ago, a rally in support of Hamas was also held in Ernakulam. IB and NIA teams have reached the spot. About a thousand people were present in the convention center during the blast. All hospitals have been alerted. The reason for the blast has not been revealed.
All hospitals of Ernakulam on alert
Kerala Health Minister Veena George has issued instructions to the department officials to provide better treatment to the people injured in the blast. All hospitals in Ernakulam have been alerted. The minister has directed all health workers, including doctors, who are on leave to return immediately. Apart from this, instructions have also been given to increase additional facilities in Kalamassery Medical College, Ernakulam General Hospital and Kottayam Medical College.
