The Saudi Electronic Sports Federation, the organizer and responsible for developing the gaming and electronic sports community and sector in the Kingdom and sponsoring elite Saudi eSports players, has announced the date of the second edition of the Gamers Season – the largest event for electronic sports and games in the world – which will be hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for 8 months. And after the tremendous success achieved by the first edition last year, which witnessed the attendance of about 1.4 million visitors and about 132 million people around the world watching professional e-sports competitions, the federation announced that the second edition will be larger, larger and more diverse, whether in terms of the number of e-sports tournaments or concerts. The federation also confirmed that the prize pool will be the largest in the world in the field of electronic sports, as prizes will exceed $30 million (about 112 million Saudi riyals), which is almost double the total prizes of last season.

The second season will be called “Gamers Season: Land of Champions”, to denote the competition of international and local e-sports champions in order to rise to the top of this huge event, and the fact that Saudi Arabia is the destination of global games and e-sports, the center of the champions of these sports and the global starting point for them. The first season witnessed the participation of 113 international professional teams in multiple tournaments in the world’s most powerful electronic games.
