The Supreme Organizing Committee, according to its official statement, approved the holding of four races during the ninth edition, with the first race starting next December 29th with Emirati amateur competitions, followed by the elite race for men on January 19th, then the women’s race on February 2nd, while the conclusion will be with the desert race on the ninth. The Supreme Organizing Committee announced that the total prize money allocated for the four races amounts to 3.5 million dirhams.
The Supreme Organizing Committee reviewed the reports on the development and growth achieved by the past eight editions of the championship, which witnessed successes at all levels, technical and organizational, participation from inside and outside the country, and wide and large participation from thousands of riders of different nationalities.
The Supreme Organizing Committee also followed up on the preparations with the various governmental and private agencies supporting the event, which have contributed throughout all past editions to ensuring that the competitions are held according to the highest safety standards for all participants.
The Supreme Organizing Committee approved the routes for the race stages, which will be announced successively, to give participants a complete visualization of the routes and undertake the appropriate training for each race.
The statement said that the Supreme Organizing Committee of the Championship is cooperating with several government agencies to ensure the success of the race and the safety of participants, as well as preserving the environment and implementing sustainability standards, such as: Dubai Police General Headquarters, Dubai Sports Council, Roads and Transport Authority, Dubai Municipality, Dubai Sports Channel, and Dubai Foundation.
