29-year-old Komalpreet Siddu has been arrested in the case. He was arraigned in Manitoba Court of Justice today.
Officials say that this is the first time that such a quantity of drugs has been seized from North American territory. The incident will take place on January 12. Komalsingh was arrested at Boissevain (Land) port of entry in the province of Manitoba, Canada, after arriving with so many drugs.

There was so much chemical intoxication in the truck that came from the US. Sidhu himself was driving the truck. Officials seized 406.2 kg of meth from his truck. It costs around 51 million Canadian dollars in the market. That is, it costs around 3152 million Indian rupees. The truck of an industrial trucking company based in Manitoba was seized.
Authorities are describing the incident as the largest such seizure across borders in the region. Officials have released a press release lauding the swift action taken by officials for keeping 400 kilos of methamphetamine off the streets.

Canada Border Services Agency Director General Janelee Bell-Boychuk said the suspect, who is of Indian origin, has been charged with possession of such a high-value drug and smuggling it into Canada.
Even the international drug mafia is suspected to be involved in this smuggling.
