The Emirates Football Association closed the door for the second transfers at five o’clock today, which lasted from January 11 to February 8, during which 438 registration and registration transactions were completed for players, in the first team of professional clubs, first-division clubs, second and third division teams, and youth teams for the 2022-2023 football season. .
Club requests during the second transfer period included 166 replacement cases, 27 loan within the country, 28 transfers within the country, and 217 player registration cases.
Hisham Mohammed Al Zarooni, a member of the Football Association Board of Directors and head of the Players’ Status and Transfers Committee, praised the clubs for their professionalism in completing the transfers, in cooperation with the employees of the registration, legal affairs and smart services departments in the Football Association, expressing his happiness at the end of the winter period of transfers to the fullest.
He said: “In the Players’ Status and Transfers Committee, we realize the importance of the second transfer period for clubs, during which they seek to complete their deficiencies and strengthen their ranks to compete in various competitions. Therefore, we were keen to cooperate with all clubs in the different grades to be able to complete their transactions as quickly as required.”
Registration and registration transactions for players were distributed to six different categories of teams, the first of which is the first team for professional clubs, as the total number of transactions reached 48, including 22 national players, 3 born in the country, 6 within the resident category, and 17 foreign players.
The first-class teams registered 120 players within the first team, comprising 52 citizens, 3 state-born, 34 residents, and 31 foreigners, while the total transfers of the first team to the second-class amounted to 82 players, including 11 citizens, 3 state-born, 23 residents, and 45 foreigners. The first team in the third division registered 145 players, including one citizen, 2 born in the country, 19 residents, and 123 foreigners. Under-21 teams registered 23 players, including 7 citizens and 16 resident players, and within the under-21 youth teams, 20 players were registered, including 13 citizens, 2 born in the country and 5 residents.
