The day before yesterday, the Karate Technical Directors and Coaches’ Refining and Classification Course concluded. It was held at the Sharjah Club for Individual Games Hall since the sixth of this month, and witnessed the participation of 46 students.
According to a statement from the Federation, the course came within the framework of the Federation’s strategy to raise the technical level of karate in the country, and to give importance to training and refining courses for coaches, in a way that serves to raise the technical level of competitions during the season, and benefits the preparation of male and female players of the national teams for the various age groups in the upcoming international events.
The lectures were given by the Executive Director of the Federation, Head of the Federation’s Technical Committee and member of the Technical Committee of the International Federation, expert Mohammed Abbas; the Technical Director of the Federation, expert Hisham Siri; the coach of the UAE Kata team, expert Nader Beji; and the Head of the Referees Committee and member of the Referees Committees of the Asian and International Federations, Jaber Al Zaabi.
The course included analog and practical lectures, which addressed the most important aspects of the technical conditions for the new season’s championships, and explained the list of the latest amendments to the International Arbitration Law, in addition to practical training for both “Kata” and “Kumite” competitions, before concluding the course with analog and practical tests for coaches according to the International Federation of the game.
