New Delhi: The reply given by the Ministry of Domestic Aviation to the question of a member of the Lok Sabha is as follows: In the last year 2022, there were 546 technical defects in domestic service flights. Among them, Indiago 215, SpiceJet 143, Vistara 97, Air India 64, GoFirst 7 and Agasa Air 6 faced technical defects.
A total of 1,090 technical faults occurred in domestic service flights in the last 2 years. While there were 544 technical defects in 2021, there has been a slight increase in 2022. This is stated in the reply.
When asked whether there are more technical defects in low-cost flights, Minister of State for Domestic Aviation V.K. Singh refused.
