1- Turn off videos and photos in your phone’s gallery. One of the most frustrating aspects of WhatsApp is that it automatically downloads photos and videos from your conversations to your phone’s gallery when you come to view them, which affects your space, and overwhelms you with tons of pictures.
This can be turned off by opening the WhatsApp application and then selecting Settings, then head to Media Auto-Download, where you will find three options: When using cellular data, When connected to Wi-Fi, and When roaming, disable automatic downloads by unchecking All three options, photo, audio and video.
2- Using Temporary Messages or Self-Destructing Messages WhatsApp has a self-destructing message feature, which protects sensitive information that you might send to other users by automatically deleting itself after some time.
This setting is easy to activate and can be done by touching the name of the contact in the chat, then select the Messages option and turn on the switch for temporary messages.
