New Delhi: Union Minister of State for Consumer Affairs Ashwini Kumar Choubey has said that 638 complaints have been filed from Tamil Nadu and 42 complaints have been registered on the e-filing website, out of which 12 complaints have been resolved.
Union Minister of State for Consumer Affairs Ashwini Kumar Chaubey in a written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha said, “Information issued by the Ministry of Consumer Welfare, Food and Public Distribution: The Consumer Protection Act, 2019 provides facilities for filing complaints by consumers through the website. As per the Consumer Protection Rules, the National Commission, Complaints can be lodged with the States Commission and the District Commission.
A website called e-Daakhil has been created for this purpose. A facility has been established to file complaints from 34 States and Union Territories.
So far 29,553 complaints have been filed and 10,878 complaints have been registered through this website. A total of 35,898 complaints have been filed through it and 1,810 complaints have been resolved. As far as Tamil Nadu is concerned, 638 complaints have been filed, 42 complaints have been registered and 12 complaints have been resolved,” he said.
