Guests from 68 countries take part in the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF). This was announced on September 6 by the presidential envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District (FEFD) Yuri Trutnev at a session of the Valdai International Discussion Club.
“68 countries are already participating in the forum, and not only close to the Far East, these are Australia, Austria, Great Britain, the USA, Germany, France, Switzerland, Japan, Ireland, Italy. This suggests that, despite the significantly changed structure of the world, we are nevertheless interesting to each other,” he said.
Trutnev expressed hope that the countries participating in the forum would come to a common understanding.
The VII Eastern Economic Forum is being held from 5 to 8 September in Vladivostok. The WEF Organizing Committee stated that representatives of 40 countries have confirmed their participation in the forum in 2022.
