New Delhi: The statistics of the cases reported in the National Commission for Women are as follows: Last year 2022, 30,900 cases were reported in relation to various crimes against women. Of these, 6,900 cases of domestic violence against women have been reported.
This is 23 percent of the total cases. The number of complaints received in 2020 was 23,700. Since then, the number of complaints has risen by 30 percent to 30,800 in 2021 during the coronavirus outbreak. Crimes against women have increased in 2022, even when the world has recovered from the spread of the Corona virus. Last year the total number of complaints rose to 30,900.
Uttar Pradesh has the highest rate of crime against women at 55 per cent, Delhi at 10 per cent and Maharashtra at 5 per cent. Even in the last year 2021, crimes against women were reported more from these 3 states. This is stated in the statistics.
