Digital Desk, Ankara. In Turkey, the rate of fully immunized people aged 18 years and over has reached 80.5 percent. Health Minister Fahrettin Koca gave this information on Saturday.
The number of fully vaccinated people is more than 50 million, or 60 percent of the total population in Turkey, reports Xinhua news agency. However, it has also been warned that this figure is not enough to deal with the pandemic. So far, a total of 8,550,377 cases of coronavirus have been reported in Turkey while 74,847 people have died.
Turkey started large-scale corona vaccination on 14 January. More than 5.6 crore people have received their first dose of vaccine. To date, 119.27 million doses have been given in Turkey, including booster doses.
