80 steps for RRR’s ‘Natu Natu’ song.. but only one!

The song ‘Natu Natu’ from RRR movie directed by Rajamouli won the prestigious Golden Globe Award. The song received an award in the Best Original Song category at the Golden Globe Awards ceremony held at The Beverly Hilton in California. Music director Keeravani received the award. Rajamouli, Keeravani, NTR and Ram Charan attended the event. Kala Bhairava, the producer also went.

RRR team has worked hard to make Natu Natu song so good. Where did the shooting take place? How many steps did choreographer Rakshit compose? How many takes did heroes NTR and Ram Charan take? Director Rajamouli revealed other things during an interview earlier. Recently, the interview became viral on social media after the international recognition of this Natu Natu song.

‘We wanted to shoot a mass song in the RRR movie. We thought earlier that the song in which Junior NTR and Ram Charan will dance should be different from the rest of the songs. We shot that song in Ukraine. By then there were no shadows of war in Ukraine. Not the fake graphics behind the song. Whose is it? President of Ukraine. If you look closely.. Parliament is also visible next to that building. Rajamouli recalled that the president of Ukraine also gave permission for the shooting as he was a former artist.

Actually choreographer Rakshit’s team recorded 80 variation steps simultaneously for this song. Seeing everything, Rajamouli and team finally took a step. That is the step that NTR and Ram Charan take with their hands on each other’s shoulders. These two took 18 takes to get the song right. Last year, the film team recalled that Rajamouli had taken a few takes for the dust that came when NTR and Ram Charan were dancing.
