The Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club has completed all preparations for the launch of the Abu Dhabi International Show Jumping Championship, which begins tomorrow and lasts for three days.
On the occasion of the launch of the tournament activities, Engineer Ali Hassan Al Shaibah, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club and President of the tournament, expressed their pride in unveiling this new destination in conjunction with the launch of the Abu Dhabi International Show Jumping Championship 2025. The tournament attracts the participation of 183 male and female riders from 36 countries, accompanied by 345 horses. Of which 291 horses are from the UAE, and 11 horses from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries Gulf, and 43 horses from European countries and other countries of the world, and their competitions begin at nine in the morning tomorrow, during which 9 international competitions are held, including 4 competitions in the 4-star category, and they are held in the indoor covered field, while the other five competitions are held on the floor of the outdoor sand field. In the first competition that brings together young horses aged 6 years, horses aged 7 years, and for riders in the categories of youth, (juniors) and cubs.
Regarding the completion of preparations for the start of the championship competitions today, Hossam Zamit, head of the judging committee, said: “We are very happy with the start of the championship at the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club after the modernization and development that affected its entire facilities and fields, which reflects positively on the field performance of the riders and horses, with its different atmosphere and new obstacles, and the benefit of horses.” The little girl will jump double as she takes her first steps in participation.”
