This picture of PM Modi is from October 1, when he donated shramdaan under the cleanliness campaign.
Swachh Bharat Mission has completed nine years on Gandhi Jayanti. Meanwhile, a new survey has revealed that most Indians believe that there has been no improvement in the condition of public toilets. Therefore, they would prefer to go to a commercial toilet instead of a public toilet.
On the other hand, Supreme Court Justice Sanjeev Khanna said that cleanliness campaign should be adopted as a social movement so that India remains healthy and happy. Justice Khanna was speaking at a function of the Supreme Court Bar Association.
39 thousand people from 341 districts took part in the survey.
This survey was conducted by community social media platform Local Circles. In which it was also revealed that even in cities like Mumbai, Delhi or Bengaluru, going to a public toilet is like a nightmare, unless they are managed by organizations like Sulabh International.
During the last three years, a large number of people on LocalCircles raised the issue of lack of cleanliness, hygiene and maintenance of public toilets in their area, district or city. This survey was conducted in 341 districts of India. More than 39000 responses were received for this.
