Tirumala: The security issue is on the rise again in Tirumala. A car, contrary to the conditions, drove around the streets of Thirumada yesterday.
The streets of Tirumala, which houses the Tirupati Eyumalayan Temple, are kept very holy and clean. No devotees are allowed to walk in these Thirumada streets with sandals. Even VIPs used to park their cars at the chariot stand on Tirumada Road and enter the temple from there. But only the Devasthanam’s battery cars are operated from near the temple to the road outside via Rampakkeecha for elderly and disabled devotees.
But yesterday suddenly a car with sticker as ‘CMO’ (Chief Minister’s office car) went from near Vahana Mandapam to Mata Road and then returned near the pond and went out through Vahana Mandapam. The video footage immediately started going viral on social media. It was also published in some Telugu media.
Recently, members of a private company in Hyderabad took a video from Bedi Anja Nair temple to Swamy’s temple in Tirumala using a drone camera. Due to this, many people condemned that there was a lack of security in the Tirumala Eyumalayan temple. Within 20 days of this happening, a car again came to Mata Veedi without permission and it has sparked a debate.
But, as usual, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam has denied this too. He said that the car did not go on Mata Road and only reached Vahana Mandapam.
