Accused of corruption Singapore(Singapore) Minister of Indian origin Eswaran, a property tycoon famous for bringing Formula One races to Singapore, was shocked.

This is a rare high-level investigation in Singapore. Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong ordered Iswaran to go on leave in the wake of corruption allegations.
To this extent, he said in a statement on Wednesday. The Prime Minister said in a separate statement that the CPIB will have to investigate Transport Minister Eswaran and other people.
Lee ordered Eswaran to take leave until the investigation is completed. Channel News Asia reported that senior minister Chee Hong Tat will act as the acting Minister of Transport in view of his absence. Eswaran is a member of Parliament in the People’s Action Party (PAP), which has ruled Singapore since independence. He became an MP for the first time in 1997. Eswaran was appointed as Minister in 2006. As Transport Minister, Eswaran played a key role in making Singapore an air hub after the Covid crisis.
He is also serving as the Minister in charge of Trade Relations of Singapore.
