In Donetsk, a civilian died as a result of shelling from the Armed Forces of Ukraine (UFU), Acting Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Denis Pushilin reported on September 20 in the Telegram channel.
“As a result of shelling by Ukrainian armed forces in the Kirov region of the capital of the DPR, a woman was killed,” he wrote.
Two civilians were also injured. Their condition is not specified.
Six residential buildings were damaged in the Kirovsky and Petrovsky districts of Donetsk and the Nikitovsky district of Gorlovka, as well as a school and a kindergarten.
Pushilin added that during the day the Ukrainian army carried out 14 attacks, firing 45 ammunition at peaceful DPR cities.
“The following were used: anti-radar missile AGM-88 HARM, rocket artillery with a caliber of 122 mm, cannon artillery with a caliber of 152, 155 mm, including cassette type,” he concluded.
The day before, Pushilin announced the death of a man after the shelling of Donetsk by the Ukrainian army. He also added that five people were injured during the day. As a result of the shelling, 17 residential buildings in different areas of the city were damaged.
On September 18, it was reported that explosions occurred near the regional administration building in the center of Donetsk.
Later, Izvestia’s military correspondent Yevgeny Bykovsky showed what the administrative center of Donetsk looks like after shelling by the Ukrainian army. According to preliminary data, there were three missile arrivals, one of which hit the roof of the building, and the other two were shot down by Russian air defense forces.
The Ukrainian military daily shells the territories of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, as well as the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions amid a special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russia announced on February 24, 2022.
