Dubai: The UAE Public School Administration has introduced new rules and regulations regarding the services of school buses. School bus drivers, parents of children etc. have been notified regarding the new instructions. The implementation of the new methods will start before the next academic year. School buses are advised to wait up to one minute in front of the house for students.
If you are unable to arrive on time, school bags can be placed in front of the house to inform the bus drivers and supervisors that the children are coming. The circular states that parents should also ensure that children follow rules and safety norms. Children should always wear seat belts, should not stand or walk inside the bus once the journey has started, should not make noise or fight, maintain cleanliness in the bus and respect the driver.
Students are not allowed to talk to the bus driver. Hand and head should not be put outside. Children are banned from traveling in the bus for up to 3 days if they cause any damage. Bus driver will be responsible for damages. Parents should inform the driver or supervisor if they pick up the child directly from school. The circular also says that there should be someone responsible to pick up the children when they get off the bus. Under no circumstances should parents enter the school bus. Grievances should be addressed directly to the school management.
