Riyadh: A four-year-old Saudi girl was bitten to death by five stray dogs. The tragedy took place in al-Washaila, 25 kilometers from Riyadh. The incident took place last Friday evening. The family was on vacation home to spend the holidays. When the boy was out of the house to play, the street dogs came and surrounded the boy and attacked him. Hearing the noise, the people in the area ran away and chased the dogs but could not save the child. A few hours later the child succumbed to death.
The mother, who had not seen the child inside the house for some time, was the first to see the horrifying scene of dogs raping her daughter. People in the area were running away after they made a noise. When the dogs saw the people coming, they abandoned the child and ran away, but the child was still bathed in blood after being bitten on various parts of his body. The boy was rushed to hospital but could not be rescued.

Uncle Abdullah Hassam al-Abdussalam said doctors arrived at the auto hospital at 5.30pm and told them they were OK and that the child could be rescued. Hospital officials said they were waiting outside the hospital at 7.30am when the baby died.
Security officials have launched an investigation into the incident. Al Wasila, located in the northwestern part of Riyadh, is a place where many families come to stay during their free time. Earlier, there were complaints of harassment by stray dogs, but it was alleged that the authorities were not ready to take effective action. The uncle also demanded immediate action to eradicate stray dogs for the safety of children.
