Argentine goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga, Girona’s goalkeeper, dazzled the world after saving three penalty kicks in his team’s match against Athletic Bilbao, today, Sunday, in the ninth round of the Spanish Football League.
The Argentine goalkeeper stood as an impenetrable barrier in front of his goal and contributed directly to his team’s 2-1 victory, after he saved a penalty kick carried out by Bilbao player Alex Perinard in the 28th minute, and also blocked a second penalty kick taken by Bilbao striker Iñaki Williams in the 54th minute, before the referee decided to retake it. After returning to the “VAR”, when the strike carried out by Ander Herrera was repeated, the Argentine goalkeeper also blocked it, amidst the astonishment of the observers.
