Doha: Two Malayali youths from a group that had left Qatar for Bahrain to celebrate the Eid holiday died in a car accident. The deceased have been identified as Manojkumar Arjun (34) of Kadampotpadat, Malappuram Melmuri and Palathanath Augustine AB (41) of Kottayam Manakanath.
A group of eight members left Doha in two vehicles on Tuesday evening. The accident happened just before reaching Hafoof after crossing the border of Abu Samra, after 80 km. The Land Cruiser vehicle they were traveling in went into the sandbank on the road and went out of control.

Manoj Arjun died on the spot. Augustine AB was seriously injured and was taken to Almana Hospital in Hufoof but died in the early hours of the morning.
Manoj Arjun’s body is kept at King Fahad Hospital and AB’s body at Al Mana Hospital. After completing the procedures, the dead body will be taken home.
