A polar bear came to look at the universal nuclear icebreaker Ural, which stopped in the area of Cape Zhelaniya of the Novaya Zemlya archipelago. The video with the owner of the Arctic was uploaded to the Telegram channel on January 20 by the ship’s crew.
The recording shows how the bear approached the huge icebreaker and stood up on its hind legs with interest in order to take a closer look at the unusual car.
“The crew was waiting for the approach of the Polar King vessel, and the owner of the Arctic was studying the icebreaker,” the sailors signed the video.
The record was made by the third assistant to the captain of the icebreaker “Ural” Yan Rozhin.
Earlier, on December 26, it was reported that the young bear was noticed by residents of the village of Troitsko-Pechorsk in the Komi Republic. Eyewitnesses saw the beast on Lenin Street. Previously, he was seen in the village on December 9th. Specialists of civil defense and emergency situations noted that the animal, apparently, did not go into hibernation. Based on the bear’s footsteps, hunters determined that he was about two years old.
