A resident of Kostroma Ivan Potemin on Friday, June 11, spoke about the rescue of children from a burnt-out apartment located in one of the houses of the city. According to him, his wife told him about the fire.
Potemin noted that by the time he arrived at the scene, two men were already climbing the drainpipe to help the children get out of the burning room.
“I didn’t even think about it. I see that help is needed. Stanislav [был на самом верху]and so we filmed all three in a chain, ”Potemin told REN TV.
According to him, the eldest of the three children in the apartment, a 10-year-old boy, did not panic, but quickly passed on his younger brother and sister to the men from the balcony.
“Yes, well done, that he was not the first to climb, but began to serve. What-what – and this is a fine fellow, ”said Potemin.
A man does not consider himself a hero, because, according to him, everyone would do this.
“When you drive up, you see that two men are holding two children. It seems to me everyone [бы] climbed “, – he noted.
The fact that passers-by in Kostroma rescued three children from the fire, who were locked in an apartment on the third floor, became known earlier that day.
The fire took place on the evening of June 6 in a three-storey residential building No. 62 in the Venezia microdistrict. The eyewitnesses were unable to break down the door in the apartment where the children were locked, and climbed to the third floor through the storm pipe to save the minors and the animal, passing them down in a chain.
As it turned out, the parents left the children alone at home, and they dabbled with a lighter and accidentally set fire to the sofa in the kitchen. The firefighters who came to the call put out the flame for more than half an hour.
All the circumstances of the incident are being established. According to the neighbors of the fire victims, the parents of the children abuse alcohol.
