A resident of Malappuram, who was on Hajj, collapsed and died while performing Umrah

Saudi: A Malayalee pilgrim who arrived in Makkah for this year’s Hajj collapsed and died. Pookithara Rukhia (58) of Mammalippadi, Etericode, Malappuram, collapsed and died while performing Umrah in Makki. He collapsed at Marwa and died instantly.

They arrived in Saudi Arabia on the 10th of this month to perform the Hajj. They came with their brother Moideen to perform Hajj through the Alhind Hajj Group. Rukia’s husband is the late Mukriyan Kallungal Saidalavi. The body is being kept at the King Faisal Hospital Mortuary in Makkah. The relatives informed that the body will be buried in Makkah itself after completing the procedures.

Meanwhile, the number of people receiving Kovid treatment in Saudi Arabia has exceeded 10,000. A total of 1,082 Kovid patients were newly reported the previous day. 1,045 cures have been reported.
