The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) shelled the village of Bulavinovka in the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) early in the morning on February 3 from HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS). This was reported on the Telegram channel of the Representative Office of the LPR in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC) on Friday.
“February 3 at 04:45 p.m. Bulavinovka, Novopskovskiy district (LNR) came under fire using the HIMARS MLRS, the enemy fired four M31 GMLRS missiles,” the report says.
It is specified that as a result of the shelling, a school, a House of Culture, a post office, as well as 10 residential buildings were damaged.
Ukrainian militants subjected the territory of the LPR to heavy shelling on January 28. Then, from the HIMARS MLRS, they fired at the hospital building in Novoaidar in the LPR. As a result, 14 people died and 24 were injured. The Investigative Committee of Russia opened a criminal case on the fact of the shelling of the medical facility.
Later, the Izvestia correspondent showed the consequences of the shelling of the hospital.
In turn, the press secretary of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Fatima Sator, said on February 1 that the organization was aware of the attacks on the hospital in Novoaydar. She added that the strikes on medical facilities and energy infrastructure limit the population to vital services.
Since February 24, 2022, Russia has been conducting a special operation to protect the Donbass, whose residents refused to recognize the results of the 2014 coup d’état in Ukraine. The decision to start it was made against the background of the aggravation of the situation in the region due to the shelling of Ukrainian troops.
