A sea mine exploded in Odessa during a storm. This was reported by the Ukrainian Internet portal “Strana.ua” on Sunday, March 26.
“The posted footage shows that the coastal buildings are damaged. The storm continues, ”the publication signed the corresponding photo.
It is added that the pier is also damaged.
No official information about the explosions was posted on the channels of the state emergency service in the Odessa region.
Another strong explosion in the Odessa region occurred a day earlier, on March 25. The circumstances of the incident were not specified.
On March 14, it also became known that Ukrainian militants were mining the banks of the Seversky Donets River. According to Marochko, Lieutenant Colonel of the People’s Militia of the Luhansk People’s Republic, mining of the coastline goes up to a width of 10 m with a mining step of about 3 m.
On March 5, it became known that the Naval Forces (Navy) of Ukraine had mined the Black Sea coast in the Odessa region. In the official networks of the structure, an appeal was placed to residents of coastal areas with a call “in no case to move along the territory of the coast of the Odessa region.”
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian leader Vladimir Putin announced on February 24 last year, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of increased shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
