BeIN Sports made a sudden error in the result of the match between the UAE and Qatar, which took place today, Tuesday, in the sixth round of the first group qualifiers for the decisive Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup finals.
The UAE national team was leading with a goal scored by Fabio Lima in the fourth minute, and the “White” team received a penalty kick as a result of the obstruction suffered by player Harib Abdullah by defender Lucas Mendez.
Lima launched the kick successfully to the right of goalkeeper Mishal Barshim, and beIN Sports recorded the result as a tie (1-1) instead of (2-0), but it remedied the issue and returned things to normal.
The first half ended with the UAE leading by three unanswered goals after Lima added the third goal for himself and the UAE national team, a hat-trick, at the end of the half.
